Ph. D. Programs:
Our Doctoral program is designed for graduates who will make significant contributions to knowledge in their fields of specialization. The program is rigorous and the intellectual challenge considerable. Students receive individual attention from the start and often collaborate in serious research with faculty members. The University of Fairwings offers doctoral study in the areas of specialization. Research degrees can offer the opportunity to earn advanced degrees with little or no residency, and often at a very economical cost. The subject and choices have been studied in detail by Do. John Bear in his book on non-traditional education, details of which can be found on the AED DL book list. Dr. Bear has also frequently answered questions on the subject via the AED news group. Australia, Britain and South Africa are leading sources of research-only degrees. However in keeping with the relative independence of universities in some of these countries, the approach can differ from one to the next and may strongly depend on a relationship with the university or a faculty member.

Specializations such as clinical psychology, counseling psychology, educational psychology, or organizational psychology are possible by adjusting the student curriculum. (Not licensed)
With a more narrow focus than the bachelor's degree, the master's degree focuses on developing specialized knowledge in a more specific field of study. While requirements vary according to the university, a master's research degree usually requires 1-2 years of full time or part time study after completion of the bachelor's degree and can take longer if the student studies part time.
